Students will be able to talk and listen to native Spanish speakers in a dynamic and friendly atmosphere, which simulates daily conversations and situations following a communicative approach, only possible in small groups of 12 students or less.
Communication, Communication Communication
We have developed a communicative approach to Spanish learning based on recent innovative methodologies where the key to language learning is to develop the student capacity to communicate in real life situations.
Communication is a process, with a specific purpose, between specific speakers in a real life situation. So it is not enough to only learn rules, grammar and vocabulary, it is also important to know how to use them from the start. This means for example:
- Focusing on interaction
- Giving the student a chance to think about his/her learning process beyond the language acquisition.
- Using student personal experiences as a channel for learning in class.
- Blending the learning outcomes in class with activities outside the classroom.
Our courses follow the curriculum guidelines of both the "INSTITUTO CERVANTES" and "the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages" and are designed to prepare students for the official "DELE" exams offered by the Instituto Cervantes. The DELE (Diplomas in Spanish as a Foreign Language) are the official Spanish language diploma/exams, internationally recognised, granted by the Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Education. The Instituto Cervantes can be compared to the British Council in UK and it is the number one authority in the world on everything related to Spanish language.
Following these guidelines, our adult courses are divided into the 6 levels created by these institutions, namely: A1 (Breakthrough) A2 (Waystage), B1 (Threshold), B2 (Vantage), C1 (Proficiency) and C2 (Mastery). Each of these LEVELS requires around 120~160 hours of language learning. Each levle is divided into 5~6 modules (A1, A2: 5 modules; B1, B2: 6 modules). This will ensure a progressive and structured framework for your learning.
Our courses are designed according to different official Spanish Exams:
- IGCSE, GCSE, AS, AL, DSE
- IB ab initial, Standard, Higher
- DELE A1,A2,B1,B2,C1,C2
